Desert Sky didn’t begin with blueprints, showrooms, or supply chains. It started in the back room of a rental home with a hand-me-down staple gun, a stubborn chair, and a secondhand sewing machine. At the time, I was just trying to breathe new life into a piece of furniture that had history, personality, and — despite the wear and tear — soul.

I didn’t know it then, but that chair was the first conversation I ever had with craftsmanship.

Growing up in Las Vegas, I watched my family work with their hands. My mother was a seamstress. My father, a mechanic. They didn’t see themselves as artists, but I did. They saw possibility in what was broken. They taught me patience, attention to detail, and pride in a job well done. Restoration — whether of fabric, wood, or a person’s confidence — became a kind of calling for me.

After restoring furniture for friends and family for years, I took the leap. I didn’t have investors. I didn’t have a business degree. What I had was a reputation — and a promise. If you bring me your story, I’ll help you sit in it again.

I called the company Desert Sky because that’s what I saw through the workshop windows when I was building my first pieces on my own — an endless, radiant possibility.
